It’s a little-known fact, but many of Glasgow’s bar and restaurant workers are in fact rock stars in disguise. The Grosvenor Café is celebrating these unsung guitar heroes as part of the West End Festival with an evening of live music and a bit of friendly competition.
We’ve invited a few faces that we’re sure will be familiar to a lot of you to perform on the night of Wednesday 20th June, representing their bar, for the chance to win a session in Old Mill recording studios, a night out for all their workmates on us, and- of course- eternal glory.
Judging the entrants will be Will Hanson, David Cleary (Three Blind Wolves), Fraser McFadzean (She’s Hit) and Marshall Craigmyle (Old Mill Studios).
Everyone at The Grosvenor is looking forward to seeing what Glasgow’s bar staff have to offer and we’re pretty pumped to hear their original material as well as what are sure to be some interesting covers…
If you get the chance you should definitely come on down and support these guys – who knows? You might discover your new favourite on The Grosvenor stage!
*** We’ve still got one or two spots left in the competition, so if you work in a bar or restaurant, a bit gifted with the old musicality and fancy winning big for you and your work pals, contact Georgia on 0845 166 6028 or email Grosvenor.firstname.lastname@example.org ***
